On July 10th, 2020 the joint work on the network "KI-Transfer-Hub Schleswig Holstein" started. The network serves to introduce small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to artificial intelligence (AI) and to show the economic potential and opportunities through research results. The network consists of partners from the Technische Hochschule Lübeck (THL), the University of Lübeck, the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel and the UniTransferKlinik Lübeck GmbH. The project is coordinated by the Forschungs- und Entwicklungszentrum Fachhochschule Kiel GmbH.
The THL center of excellence CoSA under the leadership of Prof. Horst Hellbrück is entrusted with research in the area of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the distributed system in the project network. The focus is on the question of integrating AI processes into existing systems and their further development. Areas of application for current research projects include medical technology, autonomous systems and digital teaching.
The Institute for Learning Services (ILD) under the direction of Prof. Monique Janneck is also involved as a project partner of the THL. The ILD supports the network by communicating research results in the field of digitization using AI algorithms for the purpose of further and advanced training of SMEs. Here, the needs of SMEs are addressed individually.
This project is funded by WT.SH GmbH with a total of approximately EUR 2.15 million.
