Internet of Things

The Internet of Things (IoT) is an Internet where Personal Computers (PCs) are replaced by tiny devices. Those tiny and embedded computers are intended to support us in our entire life. One example for devices in the Internet of things are so called "wearables". Wearables are accompanied with different sensors attached to the human body gathering contextual information. The next evolutionary step with wearables will be "intelligent Things" which will replace dedicated sensors. The wireless identification and localization via RFID is a basis for the IoT and for future developments of Industry 4.0.
