Automatic approach to determine positions of reference points

The position of reference points is required before position estimation is possible. This is similar to the GPS system, where the satellites transmit their current position in order to allow position estimation of a tag.
In this work different techniques to automatically derive the position of the reference point are investigated. Based on distance estimation between the reference point the geometry of the reference is determined. Possible approaches include stimulated annealing methods and other optimization techniques.
- Development of algorithms to automatically derive the position of the reference points.
- Experience with microcontrollers and radio chips is beneficial.
- Programming skills.
